Try out a 30 minute lesson for half price ($15)!

Pricing:

Payment for the month is due at the first lesson of each month. I accept cash or check.

30 minute lessons = $120 per month ($30 per lesson)
45 minute lessons = $180 per month ($45 per lesson)
60 minute lessons = $240 per month ($60 per lesson)

Rescheduling:

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. If I am not notified 24 hours in advance, unless it is due to illness or family emergency, lessons cannot be rescheduled and you are responsible for payment in full.

Materials:

You need a piano or keyboard! It is best to practice on a piano because keyboards feel quite different from a piano. Finger strength and technique will develop differently if a student always practices on a keyboard. However, for younger students, it is alright to start off with a keyboard. If you are looking to purchase a keyboard, find one with touch-sensitive keys, a foot pedal, and a stand.

Except for books, I provide all necessary lesson materials. After completing one month of lessons, my students are given a notebook containing lesson notes, practice logs, staff paper, etc.

Unless you prefer to purchase your own books, I can pick them up for you (I make regular trips to the music store and get discounted prices). Payment for books will be due at the first lesson of the next month.

My students periodically borrow materials including flash cards, games, CDs, etc. Please take good care of them and bring them to the next lesson.

Expectations:

Practicing is a necessary component of learning to play an instrument. I expect all of my students to do their best to practice every day, even if it is only 15 minutes per day. Together we will determine an appropriate length of time to practice and you (or your child) will keep a practice log.
